Here is a peek of one of my beyond the page projects I will be teaching at Patching by the Port. It is a 12 x 12 canvas which involves patchwork fabric scraps, buttons, twill, stitching and more. I am also working on another BTP project which uses old jeans pockets. Stay tuned.....My class samples will be on display at Create & See from next week for you to take a closer look. I am also happy to say that my next kit will be available next week too...so if you have some christmas pics that need scrapping then get them out....will share some sneek peeks in the next couple of days. Have a lovely Sunday!

Patching by the Port.....
Patching by the Port are spreading their wings this time around to incorporate scrapbooking into their program. I will be offering three workshops which will all incorporate fabric and stitching. The first workshop will focus on machine stitching, the second hand and machine and the third will use these techniques with beyond the page projects.....of course they will all involve the use of fabric and other haberdashery items. I have some sneek peeks of one of my projects to share with you.....
I will have more to share over the next few days but must get back to my DT work.....
Have a great weekend...

Still holidaying......
It has been such a long time hasn't it? I had such a fantastic break down south over summer and my holidays aren't over yet! I leave for Sydney on Thursday with my mum and meet up with my sister there (she's coming from Tassie). We are having a week long girl's trip. We booked it last year and gave it to mum for a combined Chrissy/birthday pressie. So my next kit won't be in the shop until I return.....so stay tuned.
P.S Thanks for checking in Linda.....will have something to share soon.

A Cottage Retreat......
.....not of the scrapbooking kind but good enough to scrap. My parents garden was open to the public last weekend as part of the Australian Open Garden Scheme. Almost 400 people visited and admired their passion. I sold some of my cards and small gifts (infact I sold them all....which was a lovely surprise!) This meant that collectively we raised a nice sum to be put towards getting a CT Scanner for the Esperance Community. All I was left with was Kim Archer's Happy Garden that I made to sit amongst my cards (which suited the garden theme perfectly....thanks Kim!!)Of course, I never intended to sell it and it's now sitting back on my craft desk for me to enjoy!
Here are some pics from the weekend (before the crowds arrived)
It was a great weekend and now I'm feeling a bit tired...which isn't good when it's only the start of a busy week-must have an early night.
Take care....

A Happy Garden......

Today I finished making Kim Archer's Happy Garden......I loved it the first time I saw it on her blog and I finally got around to making it. Follow the link (from my sidebar) over to her blog and check her sidebar for her free step-by-step instructions. I'm going to use mine in my card display at my Mum and Dad's Open Garden weekend coming up in November. The garden entry fees are being forwarded to the Cancer Foundation and I will also be donating 50 cents from each card sale too! Every little bit helps... I have all sorts of cards to sell, including packs of 4 which includes themed packs such as christmas ones....
I also took out my favourite trusty flower stamps to stamp up these canvases for our lounge/living area. So quick and simple but quite effective I think....
This room is my favourite little retreat area for reading a book and having a cuppa....the sun warms the seats up just nicely!! (and yes, I do get time to hang out there because I make the time and it's just too good not to!)
Well, the plumber has just left so now it's time to pack the creative juices up get the washing done...now that I have running water again.
take care....
