Happy Mother's Day!

What a wonderful day! Plenty of gorgeous handmade gifts from my four beautiful children...love them to bits! We had a very relaxing lunch at the farm with my parents and Glen's mum & dad...we are so lucky to have them close by! Lots of laughs, great food and a few wines enjoyed. Here are some pics of the bag I made my Mum for Mother's Day. It is Janelle Wind's Thelma's Day Out pattern. I was so thrilled with the end product and my mum equally so....thanks for the inspiration Janelle (Wow! this lady is so talented and inspiring!)




Can't wait to try some of Janelle's other patterns and a bag for myself....

A tea party....

We have a tea party at least once a day in our home...thanks to Leesi! I just love them and how she will busy herself for hours on end being a little Mother hen....so here is the layout share...




I have some more to share but haven't taken pics yet....finally some more layouts for the boys albums and what I made for mum for Mother's Day (I actually sewed more material for that one!!) Will share that one on Sunday. I would have posted much earlier but it has been two weeks to the day that my 3G service went down and was only rectified yesterday. Back soon x

OMG I can actually sew material!!!

This is what I made this afternoon for Elise out of some really pretty fabrics.




It has been a while since my old sewing machine has had anything but paper and cardstock go through it but my new love of gorgeous fabrics has inspired me to do so. I am actually quite proud of myself because I have only ever stitched a pillow case before and that was in Year 9....in the olden days!!!! I plan on making her some more skirts (as she loves skirts and dresses soo much!)...some long and some short. With the t-shirt I just appliqued a material heart on to a top I got from Target for $9...bargain!

So I didn't scrap today but you can be sure these pics will be scrapped before long.

I made this today for Elise's bedroom door from bits of scraps....she is very happy it!

Saying goodbye....

can be a hard thing to do when you have had such a wonderful time! I have just recently resigned from the Just Scrapbooking Design Team after three years. I loved every bit of my time there from the friendships I have made, the professional nature of the team, the awesome products and the great boss lady at the helm of it all....Jordie thankyou so much for everything!! I will, of course, be keeping in touch and I am so excited about attending their August retreat (Nomes, you can finally get your needle back!)
I promised myself that this year I would make more time to spend establishing my own little creative business, just inspired. This will mean that my kits will be out on a regular basis and I will also be working on a creative staionery portfolio that will live at Create & See. I am also putting quite a bit of time into my Patching by the Port workshops and this has really kickstarted my passion for working with fabrics. So keep checking in to see what I have been busy creating.

Two posts in one day!!!!

A mammoth effort from me.......but I just had to share a peek at my next kit. It uses traditional Christmas colours, Kaiser papers and some lovely metallic cardstock....on it's way to Create & See this week.

Another sneek.....

Here is a peek of one of my beyond the page projects I will be teaching at Patching by the Port. It is a 12 x 12 canvas which involves patchwork fabric scraps, buttons, twill, stitching and more. I am also working on another BTP project which uses old jeans pockets. Stay tuned.....My class samples will be on display at Create & See from next week for you to take a closer look. I am also happy to say that my next kit will be available next week too...so if you have some christmas pics that need scrapping then get them out....will share some sneek peeks in the next couple of days.
