Scrapping Kits, going online and a 'girl's night in or two'....

Great news! My LSS Create & See will being going online shortly. A great deal of work has been devoted to getting this site set-up professionally and I am very excited for all involved. In conjunction with the shop I have put together my first scrapping kits, which they are now selling. They are the 'Crafty CD Cases' which were featured in Scrapbooking Memories Vol 9 No.4. I have pre-cut all the materials and included easy to follow instructions.

I have made ten of these for myself, some I have given as gifts and the rest house all my pics.......nicely themed and sorted. My next kit is based around small Christmas gifts and decorations.

I have also been busy making some mini-albums for the 'Girl's Night In' we are having next weekend to raise money for Breast Cancer research. We had our first one last year and it was huge so we are looking forward to another successful night, with loads of laughs and some good old fashioned 'girly' time. I am also looking forward to attending one in late November which is being run by some other close friends....we have to wear our wedding dress or a bridesmaid dress to that one (will have to stuff my dress with chicken fillets though as I had a bit more to boast back then!!! But hey, who cares? It's all about the cause) These nights are so important to me. I lost a cousin to breast cancer on May 2nd this year and one of my Aunts has just been diagnosed and is currently undergoing treatment.I am also supporting a very close friend who has chosen to have a double masectomy early next year, as a preventative measure, given her incredibly strong family history of breast cancer. All of these woman have taught me a great deal and my life is so much richer thanks to their strength and friendship.

So on that note, take care and think pink!

Wrong Way Round!

That's how I feel some days LOL! I have a double layout in the latest For Keeps and it was printed the wrong way round. The editor contacted me prior to the mag coming out and apologised for the stuff up. I wasn't bothered.....at least it is the right way round in Joe's album....that's all that matters. So here's what it is supposed to look like,

Just picked up my latest DT pack and can't wait to get started......feeling inspired! After all the sickness that's been circulating through our house it's just nice to feel like scrapping again.

Will leave you with this pic......We had a bonfire the other afternoon, in one of the paddocks, and watched the sun go down. It was one of those really still winter afternoons.

Have a great weekend!

It's been a while.......

But it has been one sickness on top of another. I am starting to get back to my 'old self' and enjoying that fact. Just before I got sick I spent a weekend at Southern Cross teaching. These ladies were so inviting and made the long drive incredibly worthwhile. I loved getting to know them all and sharing with them.....Here's to next year! Obviously I haven't scrapped much apart from some DT work for Just Scrapbooking. I love being apart of this team and I was thrilled when Jordie extended my contract.....I really hope to get to Perth soon so I can scrap with these ladies.....just love their company, esp. their sense of humours!! So, I can't share my latest creations as I only posted them yesterday but I can leave you with some from past months.

Thanks for stopping by and here's to being healthy!

Scrap a cake!

My little girl is 2 today....my darling baby girl just isn't a baby anymore....sniff! We are looking forward to a lovely afternoon tea with all our family. Her cake I made was so easy and the pics on the flowers are from when she was a few months old, when she was 1 and now at 2. The boys have blown up countless pink balloons and the party girl is well, READY TO PARTY!!!! have a great weekend....

Autism Crop Fundraising Album

Here is my double layout for the Autism Crop Fundraising Album. Check out Alli's blog for more information about this great fundraiser and the other contributors. This album is going to be hard to raffle and give up but the cause behind it all makes it incredibly satisfying. I also altered a little box for Alli to use as a prize on the Crop day which is on June 23rd. Can't wait to see the album when it is all finished and collated.....keep an eye on Alli's blog for that (I know I will be!)

Stay warm.....

A Random Post

So my lovely friend Megan Stephenson tagged me (Yep, she's the one who made the latest cover of FK's WOOOHOOO!). I am late in getting to this so I'm sure many have been tagged therefore I won't pass it on but incase you haven't, consider yourself tagged.
Here are seven random things about me,

1. I thrive in stressful situations and like to keep busy,
2. I am a secondary trained Phys Ed teacher,
3. My Auntie is a fashion designer in Melbourne....Perri Cutten (I'm very proud of her),
4. I have more pairs of joggers than any other type of shoe (sad but true!),
5. I have a bath every Friday night and enjoy a glass of wine (funny little tradition of mine..lol).
6. I did classical ballet for over 10 years....that's why my toes are all bent and funny and,
7. I'm going to Fiji next year!

So, there you have it.

Last Friday night I presented at a scrap night in town. It was a fundraiser for the school my kids attend. It was so well received and raised heaps of money. It really reminded me of what a great craft this is and I was so happy to share the passion and make some new friends.

I have been scrapping a bit (well before we had visitors) but I can't share it as it is DT work but when I can I will. I will leave you with this LO because it is a favourite photo of mine...where has my baby gone?

Enjoy the rest of your week....

Our Little Miss

In June I will be attending a retreat at Southern Cross and teaching some classes. Some of the ladies are wanting to work with vellum. I will admit I am not a huge fan of vellum but it has challenged me to dive through my scraps (VERY large scrap pile!) and experiment. I cut some flower shapes from the vellum and Kindy Glitzed the outside of them. I am new to using Kindy Glitz but thanks to my scrapping friend Nomes, I am well on my way! I also used some scrap vellum in the photo matting....it's so easy to stitch through! Our girl is growing so much everyday and her personality is packed with fun! The hidden journaling is behind the photo and I have written her a letter highlighting all her funny little mannerisms that I am loving atm.

Just loving the school holidays and the break from routine..........take care!

Just had to share.......

I got a phone call last week to say that I have been chosen as one of two Aussie Scrappers to join the Xyron Design Team!!! I was thrilled to bits, particularly as I use so many of their products. Mel Nunn has also been chosen and I look forward to working alongside her....Congratulations Mel! We also receive lots of goodies to play with as a result....can't wait! This is the layout I entered. Elise is so attached to her 'wug' and this photo really shows it.

A bit more news...........
This layout was voted one of the winners for the 2006 SM People's Choice Awards. I got such a lovely surprise when I learnt of this and I'm thrilled to be receiving some goodies to play with as a result. Looking at this LO here reminds me how quickly my baby has grown and changed!

I am so thankful for all that this great hobby has given to me so far.......particularly the friendships. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Keeping Busy!

As seen in Scrapbooking Memories (Vol 8 No 8) This was a Heidi Grace Product Challenge. I loved this pack and it seemed perfect for this pic I took of a family we are very close to.

As seen in the latest Scrapbooking Memories (Vol 8 No. 10) This was an Anna Griffin product Challenge where I had to use a mini chipboard accordian album. I designed mine as a 2006 Family Wall Hanging with the pics on the front and all the journaling on the back. It fits nicely in my scraproom.

Journaling on the back of some of the kids 2006 milestones/events.

This layout made it to the top 20 of the Scrapbook Creations Cover Comp. This photo is one of my all time faves. There were some amazing entries in this comp....so inspirational!

A This layout has been accepted for publication. Look out for it in Scrapbooking Memories!

A layout for Patrick's album using MM Fresh Anthology papers. Love the way this boy has blossomed since he started Pre-Primary.
On the 27th of April I will be sharing some of my work and taking a journaling workshop at The Esperance Primary School Library. This night is open to the community and funds raised go towards getting the Year 7 students to Perth for their camp. I love doing things like this and hope that the evening is a successful one for everyone.
Have a great week!
