A Cottage Retreat......
.....not of the scrapbooking kind but good enough to scrap. My parents garden was open to the public last weekend as part of the Australian Open Garden Scheme. Almost 400 people visited and admired their passion. I sold some of my cards and small gifts (infact I sold them all....which was a lovely surprise!) This meant that collectively we raised a nice sum to be put towards getting a CT Scanner for the Esperance Community. All I was left with was Kim Archer's Happy Garden that I made to sit amongst my cards (which suited the garden theme perfectly....thanks Kim!!)Of course, I never intended to sell it and it's now sitting back on my craft desk for me to enjoy!
Here are some pics from the weekend (before the crowds arrived)
It was a great weekend and now I'm feeling a bit tired...which isn't good when it's only the start of a busy week-must have an early night.
Take care....

A Happy Garden......
Today I finished making Kim Archer's Happy Garden......I loved it the first time I saw it on her blog and I finally got around to making it. Follow the link (from my sidebar) over to her blog and check her sidebar for her free step-by-step instructions. I'm going to use mine in my card display at my Mum and Dad's Open Garden weekend coming up in November. The garden entry fees are being forwarded to the Cancer Foundation and I will also be donating 50 cents from each card sale too! Every little bit helps... I have all sorts of cards to sell, including packs of 4 which includes themed packs such as christmas ones....
I also took out my favourite trusty flower stamps to stamp up these canvases for our lounge/living area. So quick and simple but quite effective I think....
This room is my favourite little retreat area for reading a book and having a cuppa....the sun warms the seats up just nicely!! (and yes, I do get time to hang out there because I make the time and it's just too good not to!)
Well, the plumber has just left so now it's time to pack the creative juices up get the washing done...now that I have running water again.
take care....

Something to share......
I am a few pages away from finishing the Wedding album I have been commissioned to do.....almost 40 pages! I am just waiting on some more cardstock to arrive and then that will be a major project I can put behind me. I just hope the recipients are happy with the end product.
One of my bestfriends had a little girl last week and I have just completed some of her gifts. Her nursery is decorated in lavender and green so I decided to decorate her a mirror and treasure box to match. I will deliver these when I get to meet her IRL soon....can't wait!
I also got around to finishing a layout for Elise's album. These were some of the first photos I took with my new flash.....she was more than happy to be my model and I just love these pics of her!
I pulled out one of my favourite flower stamps to use and really love the Provocraft masking tape.....will be great for cards too! Here's a close-up or two....
I am in the process of planning my next kit and making some more cards................take care

So.....
My kits have all been sold! I'm so happy that they were well received and I am looking forward to putting the next one together.....Linda, thankyou for your kind words....they were very much appreciated!!
Just a couple of sneeks to share of 2 of the 4 layouts I completed for Just Scrapbooking this month.
Once again I had some really nice products to play with and scrapped some older pics that I had wanted to do for a while (older pics for me means a few years ago!) The papers were perfect for them.....will share the complete layouts when I can.
Thanks to my friends and family my pandora bracelet is complete and once I get a better pic of it, I think I will have to scrap a layout about it for my own album.
Well, off to the neighbours for a cuppa and then hopefully some scrapping with some new goodies I picked up yesterday!
Take care...

What's in a name?
Just Inspired......that is my registered business name. With my cards going well and travelling interstate I decided it was time to make things official. I will also be selling page kits through my local scrap shop, Create & See and with them going online in the coming months we will also be making them available in the e-shop. So not much will change but it will be nice to put a name to my creations that are out there. Thanks to my friends that have given me that little push to take this step.
Lots of scrapping going on in front of the TV.....just loving the Olympics! Hopefully be back with something to share very soon....

Off to Tassie.....
Not me......but some of my cards.I have never considered myself a card maker but I started making blank ones out of my scrap papers etc about a year ago. Now I didn't consider selling them either until a family member suggested it........so I have been selling them through our Motel in town and now I have a few spots in Tassie that want to sell them. Here is a couple of pics of some of them.....
Thanks for stopping by......

Ryan's 5th Birthday.....
What a great day it was! We painted a little birthday greeting on the old cement tank....he loved it! I find myself completing a lot more double layouts to include more photos......I find keeping the design simple is the best way to do this. Another precious memory recorded!

More of the PINK Party....and some boy stuff too!
Just finished this simple double on Elise's Pink Party.....aren't those three little girls so sweet! Used my Jablo flower stamps again.....I have used these so many times! Lynne from my LSS gave them to me as she received them as an added extra with one of her orders....a nice little gift.
I also have some little peeks of my girlfriend's christening present for her son. I am still working on it but want to scrap the rest of the album so she can just add photos as she goes. At this stage she isn't aware of my blog so hopefully she won't come across these until the big day in a couple of weeks (shhhhh Karina!)
Lastly, I have been asked by my children's Primary School Admin to scrap an album cover for one of the retiring teachers. It was such an honour to be asked as this particular teacher was the teacher who took me for work experience all those years ago......infact, she cemented the fact that I really wanted to be a teacher. I have to bind it all together with the beautiful story some of the children have written and illustrated....all by next thursday so I had better get cracking!
Happy Scrapping....

Some sneeks and a Flash!!!
Just sharing some sneeks of my latest pages for Just Scrapbooking....
I also ordered my new camera flash today.....a Canon Speedlite 580 EXII.....can't wait to have a play with it! After borrowing my brother's flash unit a couple of months ago, I was sold! Just love my camera, so of course I can't wait to add this to it!
I'm currently working on an 8x8 baby album....which I am giving to a close friend on her son's christening in July. I'm using the Making Memories Animal Crackers 'Jack' papers etc.....they are so beautiful!...just like her boy. In between this I am also finishing off a commissioned wedding album......big job but it is finally coming together. Of course this is all squished in between my day-to-day musings with my four treasures.
Take care,
P.S Hi Gill.....miss you!

Sports Day Mini-Book
I finally finished off Patrick's Sports Day mini-album. It was his first little sports day and it took place last year when he was in Pre-Primary. It's filled with heaps of action shots-too many for a double layout!
He will be happy to see this on his shelf when he gets home from school today!
